Vybz Kartel's Urgent Need for Life-Saving Surgery Sparks Concern

Vybz Kartel

Jamaican dancehall legend Vybz Kartel is in grave danger, according to his attorney Isat Buchanan. Buchanan told Fox 5 News that Kartel is suffering from Graves' disease, a condition that affects the thyroid gland. The disease has caused Kartel's neck to swell to the point where he cannot wear a shirt, and his eyes have begun to protrude from his face.

Buchanan said that Kartel's condition is life-threatening, and that he needs surgery to remove his thyroid gland. However, the surgery is not available in Jamaica, and Kartel's lawyers are trying to get him transferred to a hospital in the United States.

Kartel is currently serving a life sentence in prison for murder. He was convicted in 2014, and his lawyers have been working to overturn the conviction. However, the process has been slow, and Kartel remains behind bars.
