The second edition of the Anguilla Culinary Experience promises to be a mouth-watering and indulgent event for foodies around the world. This four-day culinary festival is scheduled to take place from May 3 to 6, 2023, at various locations on the island of Anguilla.
The event, which aims to showcase Anguilla's unique gastronomy, will feature some of the world's most celebrated chefs. This year's lineup includes Jennifer Carroll, chef and owner of the award-winning Spice Finch restaurant in Philadelphia, and a former contestant on Bravo's "Top Chef" reality show.
Also in attendance is Daniele Lippi, the chef and owner of the two-Michelin-starred Acquolina restaurant in Rome, and David Waltuck, a four-time James Beard Award-winner, and the chef-owner of New York's celebrated Chanterelle restaurant.
In addition, Anthony Rose, the executive chef of Toronto's popular Fat Pasha and Fet Zun Camp restaurants, will also be participating in the festival. Together, these world-renowned chefs will collaborate with local Anguillan chefs to present a series of mouth-watering, multicourse meals.
The festival kicks off with an opening-night party at D Richard's at the Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club. This event, priced at $140, will feature samplings from Aurora's six restaurants, using ingredients from its onsite hydroponic gardens and organic farm.
Throughout the festival, guests will have the opportunity to attend exclusive dinner events at various locations on the island. For example, chefs Carroll and Emanuele Sabatini will collaborate for a cooking and dinner extravaganza on the beach at the Zemi Beach House. Chefs Lippi and Dario Schiavo will alternate courses in a Beyond Appearances dinner at the Savi Beach Club, where Schiavo serves as chef.
Waltuck, along with Veya's chef Carrie Bogar, will offer an exclusive tasting menu on the terrace at Villa Alegria.
On the final day of the event, guests can look forward to a beach BBQ and competition at the Anguilla Great House Beach Resort in Rendezvous Bay. Ticket prices for the BBQ event range from $25 for entrance only to packages that include one rum punch or soft drink, and either $30 or $60 in prepaid food and drink tickets.
Overall, this year's Anguilla Culinary Experience promises to be a spectacular event, showcasing the best of Anguilla's culinary scene and offering guests the chance to indulge in a variety of unique and flavorful dishes. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the event website.
