With this delectable Caribbean Rum Punch, you can bring the flavors of the tropics to the mainland. This fruity beverage that is strong but deceptively smooth, with no overpowering alcohol flavor.
This recipe uses dark rum, light (plain) rum, and coconut rum. You can adjust the rum flavors to your liking, but this is the traditional rum punch recipe.
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups pineapple juice
2 1/2 cups orange juice
1 cup rum
1/2 cup dark rum
1/4 cup coconut rum
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
3 tablespoons grenadine syrup
dash of Angostura bitters
4 cups ice
2 thick slices orange, to garnish
maraschino cherries, to garnish
MEHTOD
STEP 1
Pour the juices, rum, sugar syrup, grenadine and Angostura bitters into a large jug and give it a good stir. Pop into the fridge to chill for 1 hr.
STEP 2
Serve over ice cubes, sprinkle over the nutmeg and garnish with an orange slice and maraschino cherry, speared with a cocktail stick.
If you like a stronger drink, add more rum to your taste.
