Guild Guitars has released the Guild A-20 Marley acoustic guitar in partnership with the Bob Marley family, as a tribute to the iconic global music superstar.

The guitar is based on Marley's songwriting instrument, a Guild Madeira A-20, which he kept at his home on 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica. The guitar is being reissued by Guild with a few tweaks to pay honor to Bob Marley. A recyclable nylon gig bag with bespoke artwork, custom guitar picks, a making-of booklet with chords to "Three Little Birds," and a Bob Marley poster will be included.

The Guild A-20 Marley acoustic guitar has a thin satin finish on the body, a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Guild script logo, "MARLEY" fretboard inlay, and a Madeira pickguard shape with "Bob Marley" signature.

Guild's new offering will also strive to highlight Marley's love for the earth, in addition to paying honor to his massive hit list and enthusiasm for spreading music.

Guild has announced a new agreement with One Tree Planted to – you guessed it – plant a tree for every instrument sold, with each guitar arriving in a Marley X gig bag made from recycled nylon.

"It's a continuation of the philosophy of Bob's music," said Ziggy Marley. "Anywhere his representation goes, his message goes. So, we are very happy that we have the opportunity to work with Guild to spread his message through this guitar."

The A-20 Marley – complete with all of the aforementioned extras – is available now for $399.
