Burna Boy, the Nigerian music sensation, is back with a brand new summer anthem that is set to dominate the airwaves. Titled "Sittin' on Top of the World," the track samples Brandy's 1998 hit "Top of the World" featuring Mase. With this release, Burna Boy aims to replicate the success of his previous summer hit, "Last Last," and solidify his position as one of Africa's most prominent music artists. The song's release coincides with his highly anticipated live performances, including a historic show at New York City's Citi Field, where he will become the first Nigerian artist to headline a U.S. stadium.
"Sittin' on Top of the World" is the first new music from Burna Boy since his sixth studio album, Love, Damini, was released in July 2022. The album was a critical and commercial success, peaking at number 14 on the Billboard 200 chart and earning a Grammy nomination for Best Global Music Album.
Burna Boy is currently on tour in support of Love, Damini. He will perform "Sittin' on Top of the World" live at his sold-out London Stadium stop on Saturday, June 3. The superstar will make history at his July 8 show at NYC's Citi Field when he will become the first Nigerian artist to headline a U.S. stadium.
